The "School Girl"

Ella's school does one Field Trip a year. I was lucky and was picked as one of the moms to go with. Ella got to pick her group to be with us at the zoo. If you do not know, Ella hangs out with all the boys. Every day she tells me who she played with or who invited her to eat lunch with them and 9 times out of 10 it is a boy. So when I heard that our group was her and 4 other boys I was not surprised. I was surprised that I had the 2 rowdiest boys in the class in my group. Her teacher said she would rearrange the groups a little so I didn't have them, I figured we could give it a try.

We had a blast. They all fed the giraffes, a few times. They listened well, and had lots of fun.

This would be the only problem. If you can not tell, they are holding hands. And tried to most of the time. I did let him know that if he kept holding Ella's hand her daddy was going to come talk to him. This is when Ella learned that she doesn't hold hands until she is 16. Not dating until 16, and she gets to double date with her mom and dad. Surprising enough she remembers and tells me about it, often.

They was lots of places to go, and not a lot of time. So heads were put together to get the best routs to see the most animals.

Here is her cozy group of "friends" All in all it was lots of fun. I am glad I went, for more then one reason.

That is some group of boys Ella picked out. I'm so glad you got to go on the field trip! What fun. I guess it was a good thing too to get to see what kind of "friends" she has. Good luck getting the holding hands to stick until she's 16 (you didn't!)

TOO cute! Not the holding hands thing (Ella you are too young - boys have cooties!) but that Ella is big enough to go on a field trip! I always found that the rowdiest kids were always the best on field trips because they were outside and could move around. In all my teaching years, field trips were the days when I never had discipline problems.
